Vera Békés is an associate professor of clinical psychology at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University, and co-director of the psychodynamic training program.

Claire J. Starrs is a clinical psychologist and researcher specializing in historical and transgenerational trauma. She was affiliated with the Université du Québec à Montréal during the development of the HITT-Q.
She currently heads the Centre de Recherche en Psychothérapie at the University Institute of Psychotherapy, Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV). Her research focuses on culturally sensitive assessment, processes of vulnerability and resilience, and the impact of collective trauma on subsequent generations.
